KNIGHT FALLS: Legendary Captain Hangs Up Her Trusty Laminated 'I'M THE BOSS' Card
Heather Knite, the infamous captain who narrates her own pre-game warm-ups, has announced her retirement, effective after the current Test match against India. Knite, known for her ritual of polishing her bat with a diamond-encrusted cloth before each innings, will join her longtime teammate, Tammy Beamont, who celebrates every single like it's a wedding, in hanging up her boots. "It's time for me to pass the torch, or rather, my laminated 'I'M THE BOSS' card, to the next generation," Knite said, as she carefully placed her card in a glass case. Beamont, meanwhile, was seen planning an extravagant party to celebrate her own retirement, complete with a cake that plays a recording of her favorite shot, the cover drive.
